For growing seedlings, you can use a transparent plastic container. In it, shoots will get more sunlight. In the bottom of the container make drainage holes and fill it with sawdust.

If you do not have the opportunity to find wood sawdust, buy pellets for cat litter at the pet store. They contain sand and compressed sawdust.

The layer of sawdust should be at least 5 cm thick, in order for the root system of nasturtium to have room for development. Then pour the pellets with hot water.

The plant will always receive water from the lower tank, and you do not have to monitor the moisture of the soil. Periodically add water to the bottom container.
