Grinder garden shredder: instructions for making

He has quite simple device, therefore, craftsmen do not get tired of coming up with options for how to make it with their own hands, using a different basis for this. One of the most popular options "walking" on the Web is a grinder from a grinder. Let's understand the stages of its manufacture.

What is needed for a chopper with your own hands

In addition to the main element - grinders, - you need:

• 2 sheets of metal 4–5 mm thick, 30 by 15 cm;
• drill;
• jigsaw;
• studs and nuts for fixing;
• trimmer disc;
• welding machine;
• steel cylinder - a workpiece can be made from a part of the body from a fire extinguisher;
• a small piece of pipe 10 cm in diameter;
• thin tube made of metal.

Stages of manufacturing a grinder based on a grinder

The whole process of creating a useful device for crushing branches is the following list of steps:

In one of the metal sheets in the center we outline a circle - about 5.5 cm.

Then we make a lot of holes with a drill in a circle. Cut out the center with an electric jigsaw.

Having clamped the sheet in a vice, we process the inner edges of the circle using a grinding attachment on a drill. Next to the cut out center, we outline and make 4 holes with a 6 mm drill - they are needed to attach the plate to the grinder.

We fix the sheet on the angle grinder.

We strengthen the fastening with the help of two lugs cut from another piece of metal, and weld them or bolt them to the grinder.

We take a 4-blade disc designed for a trimmer, and cut off excess fragments - as in the photo;

We sharpen the elongated blades of the angle grinder disk. Cut out a rectangular hole along the long edge of the plate slightly away from the center.

We place the disc in the center of the structure and screw it on.

We take the cylinder prepared from the fire extinguisher and put on it a structure of angle grinder and disc.

We weld it first, and then two plates cut from another sheet of metal - as in the photo.

We cut off the parts of the metal plates protruding from the edges of the cylinder and grind these places.

Now the prepared piece of pipe needs to be welded to the rectangular hole made.

Cut three identical parts from a round tube - for the legs. We prepare and fix - as in the photo.
