Earlier, I had a different attitude to the mezzanine, before I got acquainted with our headset. They seemed to me some kind of outdated, "grandmother's" furniture. But that turned out to be fundamentally wrong. Modern mezzanines in our kitchen have become part of the interior, functional and comfortable sections, successfully fitting into it and optimizing the available space.

Our suite is a monolith with a dedicated work area, with facades up to the ceiling. There are no open shelves, which means there is no place for dust and dirt to accumulate. But at the same time, the blank facades did not make the room more cramped.

This was achieved thanks to the different levels of the top cabinets that create volume and depth. Light matte plastic surfaces (cashmere color) increase the space. It is the main color, radiant and deep.
And additional volume is created thanks to the contrast of colors and textures: white matte plastic, wood veneer and a bright gray mosaic apron on the wall. Illumination is installed along the bottom line of the wooden facades. It illuminates the work surface well and was a must. After all, usually a person, standing facing the cabinets, hides the light from the ceiling lamp with his back.
On the side, near the window, there is a pencil case with niches for the built-in oven and microwave. An oven at eye level is a great solution, because now it has become much more convenient to use. On the other hand, there is a built-in refrigerator. Usually it stands out in interior design (and not always beautifully), but not in our case - household appliances are completely hidden behind the doors.
And next to the light pencil case is a brown veneered sideboard with glass doors. He brought some lightness to the monolithic interior. And now we do not need to purchase furniture for festive dishes, cups and plates in the living room - the kitchen sideboard is quite enough.
