Water "stuck" near the filters

Incoming filters are installed in each water heater in order to clean the water from debris and rust. The base is a stainless steel mesh. Over time, any filter that has collected a lot of garbage ceases to function. And if the water has a lot of metal in its composition, you will often have to clean the valves.

How to check the filter? On the side of the boiler there is a special nut that opens access to the grid.

A faulty pressure reducer also prevents fluid flow. Each valve has a moving part on the stem, which moves under the work of the coolant back and forth under the tension of the spring.

The weak spot is the stem entry hole. Salts accumulate on it, settling on the stem and blocking its full-fledged work. The result is that water does not enter the boiler at all.

Blockage inside the tank

Filters can let in small particles, due to which scale and lime deposits form inside the device. Budgetary electric boilers “suffer” with such a problem: all pipes are clogged with scale, and water stops flowing.

You know that the water is too hard - put the heater more expensive, because it is better than constantly changing cheap options.

Tubes clogged

The problem may not be in the boiler itself, but in the hoses that supply water. They have a small diameter and, accordingly, there is a greater possibility of debris entering even before the liquid enters the device. This is typical for the supply of hot water - layers of lime accumulate many times faster.

What to do

To increase the pressure of a hot liquid or adjust the water supply, follow a few tips:

  1. Check the cleaning filter by unscrewing the side nut. Then remove the mesh and clean it with a brush.
  2. The check valve must be removed and blown in the direction of fluid flow. If it doesn't blow, go to the store for a new one.
  3. The pressure reducer also needs to be looked at: unscrew the adjusting screw and observe the changes in the outlet flow. Nothing has changed - remove the entire gearbox and clean it, or immediately buy a new one.
  4. You can also check the mixers - it is always useful to clean the filter meshes.
  5. The scale in the body is very easy to clean: unscrew the cover and the flange at the bottom of the water heater - access is open.
