In particular, wood floors and wallpapers burn out, and not always evenly, but only in the area where the rays hit. Of course, no one will like this, and therefore you should close the curtains for a while until the sun outside the window does not just shine, and does not spare anything around - specifically at noon. This advice is especially relevant for the summer. In the remaining months, you should still analyze the situation yourself.

Keep the humidifier always on

Maintaining humidity in the room is not a whim, but a necessity, since it affects the quality of the microclimate in the house. Everyone knows that excessive dryness is harmful not only to human health, but also to decoration.

However, many people do not think about the fact that before putting a humidifier in a room, it is important to find out what indicators are in the house in general. Drying of the mucous membranes is not yet a confirmation of dryness in the apartment, but a possible “bell” of some body diseases. To get started, use a special device - a hygrometer. It is available both mechanical and electronic. Norm - an indicator of humidity in the range of 40-60%.

If the humidity in the house is less than 40%, then a humidifier makes sense, but it must also be used wisely. You should not keep it on all the time, it is important to control the indicator on the hygrometer. As soon as the level has reached the norm, the device must be turned off.

Why is high humidity dangerous? First of all, the appearance of mold. And this is true not only for wet rooms. The fungus can start under wallpaper, on windows, door slopes, under linoleum or parquet - anywhere. It is important to control the humidity indicator so as not to run into problems with health as well.

Wash floors without squeezing a sponge / rag

Wood floors, as well as laminate and parquet, should not be washed with large amounts of water. Yes, there are moisture-resistant types of laminate coated with special compounds and impregnations, but the presence of puddles on them is also undesirable. It is clear that nothing bad will happen from one or two times, but constant washing of the floors with a too wet rag can lead to deformation of the coating.

Use harsh and aggressive cleaning products

Too aggressive and harsh household chemicals literally corrode the finish. Naturally, nothing will happen immediately, but the damage is done gradually.

For example, walls covered with paint (even the most expensive and high-quality ones) are not recommended to be washed with hard products, since the coating will simply wear off. The same applies to plumbing - aggressive products will also have a negative impact on the coating.

For cleaning, you should choose gentle compositions. Preferably based on natural ingredients, without aggressive components.

Ignore any damage

Faucet dripping? Is the light bulb flickering? Shorted socket? Fix problems urgently, discarding your "I'll do it tomorrow"! Absolutely any, even the most minor breakdowns, sooner or later will turn into a global problem if they are not corrected in a timely manner. So, a dripping faucet will break off tomorrow, a flickering light bulb can indicate serious breakdowns in the electrical network, and a short-circuiting socket can even lead to sad consequences.
