A dishwasher is a great helper in the kitchen. She is helping to quickly wash the plates and cutlery after a family dinner. The principle of their work and design features are similar to washing units. They only connect to the cold water system, and the water is heated by themselves. As soon as the desired temperature is reached, the selected modes start. If the dishwasher does not heat water , , then this indicates the presence of breakdowns. It is necessary to take measures to restore the technique.

Dishwasher does not heat water - causes of malfunctions

If the water stays cold, the machine simply will not be able to wash the dishes well. Moreover, in some cases, the washing process itself simply does not start, since the control system does not receive a signal from the sensors.

Causes of dishwasher malfunctions:

  • heating element itself failed( heating element);
  • thermostat incorrectly regulates the temperature;
  • various elements of the control system do not work correctly.

This is a fairly common problem faced by service center specialists. There are not many common causes leading to such a defect. Usually this is due either to faults in the sensors and thermostats, or to a breakdown of the heating element. Over time, it can simply burn out or scum. Manufacturers themselves tell why this happens with the dishwasher and what to do in this case.

Water does not heat up in the dishwasher - diagnostics of problems

Despite the fact that problem-solving techniques have been developed for a long time, it is still recommended to conduct a full diagnosis and check various options. In rare cases it happens that third-party breakdowns at first glance actually lead to the failure of thermostats and heating elements. Why this happens, only experts can say after a thorough examination.

There are several other options that are worth checking out:

  • appliances can be connected incorrectly or with impairments;
  • has a blockage in the water tubes or filters, so the water just doesn't fill up;
  • the dishwashing mode is selected incorrectly or the settings are incorrect;
  • has failed a pressure sensor.

During the washing process, water circulates inside, and this process is monitored by a pressure sensor. If it is faulty, the circulation does not stop, and the water just does not have time to warm up to the desired temperature.

Dishwasher does not heat water - what to do?

Often you can establish the reasons yourself. At the very least, it will be able to help specialists who will already be directly involved in the repair and will explain why the equipment has failed.

For diagnostics, do the following:

  • check that the equipment is properly connected and which modes are selected;
  • see if water enters the tank;
  • whether the machine turns on in the normal washing mode;
  • see if the water inside the tank is stagnant.

In normal mode, the water must constantly circulate between the tank and the additional tank. During this process, the heating element maintains the desired temperature. If the water ceases to circulate, this indicates a problem with the pressure sensor, or with filters. Check if the debris filter is clogged and clean it if necessary.

If during normal inspection the water circulates normally and does not stagnate excessively inside the machine, and also drains at the end of the wash, then the problem with heating is associated with more serious breakdowns. In this situation, check the temperature sensor and the control module. The problem is quite common, so usually you just need to replace it.

Consult with experts about the causes of the malfunction. Tell them about all the symptoms and describe the situation. They will tell you what to do and help you make repairs by replacing faulty sensors, heating elements, or simply by cleaning the filters.
